PER NOS FUTUR – For our future

You’ve probably already spotted it somewhere in the hotel – our hotel’s own sustainability label. The label – which isn’t really a label at all, but is intended to highlight the measures we’re taking.

At the Belvedere Hotel Family, we have been planning and implementing measures for several years now to make our businesses as sustainable as possible. A dedicated working group, comprising members of the management team, heads of various departments and staff members, meets monthly to review the measures that have been implemented – assessing what has worked and where improvements are needed. New sustainability measures are also discussed and planned at these monthly meetings, although putting them into practice is not always straightforward.

However well-intentioned it may be, a new idea must also be practical and compatible with the interests of various stakeholders. Our aim is to make the businesses and your stay more sustainable, whilst ensuring that these measures do not detract from the holiday experience in any way – indeed, they should add value. However, a sustainability measure must also work behind the scenes and, as far as possible, should not complicate or even hinder processes. That is why the working group carefully weighs up the options and discusses its ideas with the staff who will ultimately be implementing the measure in practice.

So what about the label?

We have created this label – which isn’t really a label at all, but should be understood more as a guide – to make our sustainability measures more visible to you.

For example, our label can be found on notepads made from recycled paper, on takeaway packaging at the Nam Thai restaurant, on our reusable bath slippers and on our e-hotel buses. The label also appears on our menus to highlight individual dishes that are particularly sustainable according to a set of criteria.

It is not just the products bearing our ‘Per Nos Futur’ label that form part of our sustainability measures. Many processes and the associated infrastructure, which tend to take place behind the scenes, are just as much a part of this. That is why we regularly publish details of our initiatives, as well as a comprehensive sustainability report, on our website.
